Two separate weather authorities have posted active heat alerts covering the entire territory of Puerto Rico.

Servicio Nacional de Meteorología in San Juan has issued a heat warning for the full island [^1]. The National Weather Service San Juan office has issued a heat advisory for the same area, on an identical timeframe [^2]. Both alerts are scheduled to run 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM local time on Sunday.

National Weather Service forecasters also stated Sunday will bring hot humid conditions, with scattered afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms expected primarily in interior, northern and western parts of the island [^3].
