Air Canada will remove Boeing 787 aircraft from 11 total routes in the coming months.

Six of those 11 routes will use the Airbus A321XLR for some or all flight frequencies. Additional flights on two routes will be operated using A321neo aircraft.

Over 50 airlines operate the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. First class cabin availability is an airline configuration choice, not a required airframe feature. British Airways fits 8 first class seats in a 1-2-1 herringbone layout on its 787-9 aircraft. United Airlines operates the type with 99 total premium seats, with no first class offered.
