Alaska Airlines announced on Tuesday that it will launch four new nonstop routes from Anchorage, Alaska in 2027.

The Tokyo Narita service will operate with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. This is the only 737 variant in the Alaska Airlines fleet with sufficient range for the 3433 mile route.

Alaska Airlines regional vice president Marilyn Romano stated the new Tokyo route will support tourism and commerce opportunities.
